Objective
Computer and communication, an important factor in technology modernization, not only improves working effectiveness and shortens the distance between humans but also functions as the footstone for human beings to enter the global village. The Department regards computer and communication engineering as its main development domains, cultivating professionals not only specializing in computer system, communication electronics and application but also capable of performing analysis, design, production, application, and repair in the related fields. In addition, the Department contains a complete experiment building with full equipments.

Development Features
In order to come up with hi-tech professionals with computer and communication abilities, this Department has two major directions in terms of education and researches:
1. Computer network communication and applications: Microprocessor software,
hardware design and applications, computer network, multimedia network.
2. Satellite communication system design and applications: digital communication,
digital signal processor, wire/wireless communication system, wire/wireless
network installation.

Development Directions
There are 3 major directions of our Department in terms of lecturing, research and development:
1. Aggressively cultivate professionals in the area of computer network communication practices, specialties include: computer architectures,
Internet, Intranet, and network communication protocols.
2. Aggressively cultivate professionals in the area of communication engineering, Specialties include communication system, digital signal
processing, wireless network communication, and satellite communication.
3. Encouraging students to possess related certificates constantly. In order to coupe with the nation's certificate policy, we utilize our facilities to continuously promote related certificate tests so that students can achieve the interests in learning and well-qualified professionalism.
