Introduction to College of Human Ecology
College of Human Ecology implements the technological and vocational educational concept of combining theory and practice. To match with the four goals of school development plan: improving the quality of practical teaching, enhancing the innovative capacity, creating an excellent and cheerful school, participating in local community and expanding to international society, and to meet with the booming economy of current society and the desire of professionals in the livelihood related industries, the aim of education is to cultivate the pragmatic professionals for the livelihood related industries. The cultivated professionals then enter the livelihood related industries and serve for the country to make people be happy and healthy.
Based on the aim of education, the College hopes to cultivate the students to be provided with four abilities, and helps each department set its own professional aim of education in the light of these abilities:

The College, at present, consists of Department of Food and Beverage Management, Department of Tourism and Hospitality, Department of Cosmetic Applications and Management, Department of Sports Health and Recreation and Degree Program of MICE. Besides, it integrates the relevant teachers and facilities to establish Institute of Recreation Health Business, which is already permitted to enroll graduate students from 100th academic year. All the departments in College are located at E-library Building, so all the teaching resources are concentrated in this excellent learning environment.
To match with the six emerging industries promoted by Executive Yuan: biotechnology, green energy, fine agriculture, tourism, medical care, cultural creation, the College reaches a consensus: integrating the resources of teachers and facilities in College and actively seeking the external resources, then making effective planning and distribution to promote the key development fields. ?The College set “innovative services and healthy life” as the significant research interests, hopes to reach the goal “livelihood service industries are creating the feeling of happiness”.
Core Courses of College:4 courses/8 credits
Based on the aim of education and development characteristics of College, the core courses for the 4-year college students are as follows:

1st semester of 1st year: Business Management (2 credits): it can educate students in the basic concept of management, in favor of learning the following courses of innovative services. |

2nd semester of 1st year: Livelihood Industry Lecture (2 credits): it is a pragmatic employment, business-oriented course, inviting the practitioners of livelihood related industries as the lecturers, to help the students develop the ability of employment. |

1st semester of 2nd year: Cultural Creation (2 credits): it is the characteristic course developed mainly by the College. |

2nd semester of 2nd year: Workplace Morality (2 credits): it can educate students in the basic concept of laws, honesty, and morality, let them fully understand the knowledge and morality required for the employment and business. |

Future Development
Ai Yuan Building
It is expected to build Ai Yuan Building on the site of Ai Yuan parting lot at 99th academy year. Relevant design and planning is completed, and the analysis of soil and water and soil conservation of the new construction base are in progress. In future, there are facilities and spaces such as dormitory II, special classrooms and exam rooms of Chinese and western cuisines, baking and hospitality services, student practice restaurants and parking lots located at Ai Yuan Building, which not only offer students a more comfortable living condition, but also let the students learn and grow up in the excellent environment.
Practice Restaurant at Qi Yen Campus
Our school is planning to construct Qi Yen campus, area of 11,751.05 square meters, in order to create a spacious and perfect learning environment, it will comprise a practice restaurant, a beauty and health center, a food and beverage conference center and a sports recreation center. After Qi Yen campus is completed, it can offer the students of College a learning environment of combining theory and practice, make them be more competitive in the future.
