Introduction
The purpose that we established the Environmental Health and Safety Center at our Institute is to match the government agency's policy on environmental safe and sanitary with our school's, to practice the environmental protection and safe training of the hygiene of related occupations, to prevent the disaster of related occupations, and to promote the quality of our working environments. According to the ordinance of our government, we had established the environmental protection and safe laws of the hygiene on campus. The School Councilor has helped our faculty and staff to carry out safe work of the hygiene and environmental protection.
Environmental Health and Safety Center was established on August 1, 1998. Originally, it was named as “Environmental Protection Section ", and changed to “Environmental Safety and Health Center “in 1999. In year of 2000, the name of “Environmental Health and Safety Center " was chosen and has been used up till now.

Faculty Members
Currently, we have one Director,an assistant and one full-time worker-students.

Our Mission
1. Execute programs required by government agencies, the Ministry of Education, and the committee of the labor.
2. Periodically, evaluate the safe hygiene and environmental conditions among laboratories at business school and technical school.
3. According to the sanitary manual, perform safe and sanitary training programs.
4. Prepare monthly statistical reports on the disaster of related occupations.
5. Report on the safety of all faculty members and students and hygiene condition on compus.
6. Conduct programs on health inspection of labor.
7. Provide instruction on fire protection and the hygiene of environment.
8. Counsel other related environmental protection and sanitary affairs of security.

The Committees
There are two committees listed as following:
1. The Safe and Hygiene Committee.
2. Toxic Chemical Material Operation Committee.

The Aim of the Committees
Reduce the disaster of related occupations, pollution of the environment, public accidents, the occurrence of the dispute of the harmful effects and guarantee the work will educate our staff and students to secure their lives and health. Create comfortable working environment with safety and low pollution as well as improve the quality of our service.

The Missions of the Committees
1. Conduct researches and negotiations of the relevant provisions, such as environmental protection, fire fight, safe hygiene of related occupations, etc. with government agencies.
2. Prepare training programs of the above activities and evaluate the results.
3. Research on management of wastes and conduct periodical auditing.
4. Carry out the recycling programs and review the results on regular basis.
5. Manage the deliberation on Provisions of toxic chemical material control.
6. Prevent the bane of machinery, equipment and material and then provide ameliorative plans.
7. Examine the campus environment and work out a scheme to fight against pollution.
8. Set the criterion of the health inspection for our staff.
9. Perform tasks regard to the environmental protection, fire fight and related work of safe hygiene of occupations that chairman of committee instructs.
