Computer Center

History 
The computer Center was first established in 1980, located at the 2nd floor in the Electronic Engineering Building. To fit the academic needs, the Center was moved to the 7th floor in the Kuang Hwa Building in 1990. Once again, in year of 2000, in order to upgrade the campus internet systems, to fit the needs of computerized administration, and to integrate the overall school planning systems, the Center was moved to the 8th floor in the Finance and Economics Building, where is also our current location.

The General Goals
In order to meet the requirements of computerizing school’s administrative systems, developing the inter/intranet systems with all departments and related courses as well as educational trainings; this Center has based on the short, intermediate, and long-term plans, to install and maintain the school’s internet systems on an on-going basis, so that all the computer labs, servers, and inter/intranet systems can be performed with high efficiency. Furthermore, all our faculty and students can have more convenient, speedy, and quality services; that is, teachers can be provided with better research environments, and students can have the abilities to install, operate, and manage systems by themselves. 

Our Missions
1. The overall integration, planning, installation, maintenance, stability, management, and promotion of on-campus internet, student dormitory internet, inter/intranet, seamless wireless network, and website systems.
2. The overall integration, planning, installation, maintenance, stability, management, and promotion of the academic administration automation, computerization, internet applications, and digitalization learning abilities.
3. Becoming a fully supporting system for academic, research, and administrative needs, such as providing computer rooms, equipment, overhead projectors, software services for seminars, training programs, presentations, and official monitoring and evaluation visits.
4. Providing humanized internet service models, so that any user can match with any kind of structure to serve the internet system; that is, no matter you are a student, teacher, member of staff, or outsider, you will be able to serve the net with any kind of device at any time, any place, and the proper information and consultations can be acquired.
5. In charge of planning, signing contracts, procurement, maintenance, management, operations, and promotion for all legitimate authorized software systems required by this Institute. Moreover, to advocate, supervise and manage the importance of intellectual property rights.
6. Coordinating with all departments on campus in terms of budgeting and purchasing requirements of websites, computer, network communication, information security, and software related equipment.
7. To draw up or revise all relevant management regulations and operation manuals. 


Organization
Our Director is mainly responsible for the integrative development of this Computer Center, budgeting execution, software/hardware resources distribution, personnel auditing, academic researches, and administrative activities. Under his supervision, we have a total of 8 employees (including Director himself) as shown above
