TPCU signed up with Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) the Service Learning Agreement on August 21, 2012. From September of 2012 to June of 2013, 55 sophomores will become TRTC’s volunteers to serve passengers in and out at stations like Tamsui , Hongshulin , Beitou and Shipai . Each student will serve up to 36 hours and they all realize that to learn is to serve.

Associate Professor Huang, Dun-Shiang at Business Administration Department in TPCU stated that this large-scale’s student activity is to explore the off-campus service learning curriculum program of Business Administration Department named “Community Commute Loving Caring Service”.

After the ceremony, action plays performed by TPCU students with simulated MRT incident scenes were taken place.

“With over 1.6 million passengers in and out from MRT in Taipei daily, services provided by regular staffs are never enough.” Quoted from Manager Tang at TRTC. Fortunately, with the helping hands from TPCU Volunteer Group, customer service guarantee can actually be elevated. Manager Tang believes that this kind of blessing from God will surely catch a lot of attention, and more devoted students will soon take this service learning volunteer train.
